Tozier's Restaurant

As someone that lives half the year near the Gulf Coast, I find it completely bazaar that the best seafood I eat comes from a little place in the middle of the woods in Vermont. It's always fresh and cooked perfectly. The portions are massive. The tartar sauce is unlike any other I've had and a perfect complement to the seafood. The staff are friendly, and the service is always great. The other night we flew into Logan and had reservations here, but because of flight delays we were going to arrive 30-45 minutes after the kitchen closed. We asked if we could place a take out order, and did so. When we arrived 45 minutes late, we found the kitchen had held up dropping our food until we arrived so it would still be hot! In that order I tried the chocolate mousse pie for the first time. I'm not a huge sweets fan, but that may have been the tastiest thing I've ever eaten. Highly recommended!

Tozier's Restaurant appears to have indoor dining which I would have preferred. However, it was hard to tell if they did or didn't due to the signage out front. I ended up going to the take out line and ordered 1 scoop of Black Main Bear in a cup. The ice cream was a bit grainy, but had an overall good flavor. In addition, I ordered the Haddock plate to go. The fish was a good portion and well cooked. It was dipped in a batter and deep fried. The fries that came with it were on the salty side, but cooked perfectly crisp. The served the fish on the top of the fries which made some of the fries slightly soggy. If you hate soggy fries. Order them on a separate plate. Overall the fries were crispy, but too salty for me. I gave a score of three - I was leaning toward a 4- because the people taking and giving the orders were lackluster at best. I don't expect a lot, but a smile and a please and thank you would go a long way. I say give this place a try. You might love it. I was satisfied with my meal.

Despite new ownership, Tozier's seems the same as ever. Great food and service, plenty of seafood for those who like that (I'm don't but my husband does). There aren't a lot of non-seafood options but there are enough. To my knowledge, the interior hasn't been updated in years. That said, we've always gotten a great meal and excellent service, and we plan to return next time we're in the area.

Extremely disappointed with our takeout last night! This place is usually great. Not sure what happened. The menu is very misleading. A seafood platter should come with the mentioned. It doesn't state to make a choice of one thing. Ordered 3 seafood platters and an order of scallops. Paid $98.28 for 3 meals that looked like this! I have a food scale so I weighed it. That's how sad it was. 3.1 oz clam strips, 3.1 oz haddock and 4 oz of fries not pictured. The fries were EXTREMELY salty my face was sweating! The prices or menu need to be altered. This is far from $100 worth of food!!😠
